Service Etiquette
Mediteraneum massage is a professional massage service. We understand there are various types of massage and services offered in the massage industry. Our service is entirely therapeutic and non-sexual in any nature.
Before your treatment is due to start
We recommend eating a meal 2-3 hours prior to your treatment to avoid being too full or too hungry during your visit.
Arrival time
We suggest arriving at least 10 minutes prior to your appointment, as you will need this time to unwind and also to fill out our consultation form. Please respect your appointment time. Your treatment will end at its originally scheduled time to prevent a delay for the next guest.
If I’m running late, does it run into my massage time?
Depending on how busy the schedule of the therapist, it may cut into your massage treatment. So please make sure you are on time so you get your full treatment time.
In the unlikely event you are running late, we ask you to send a text message / call to let us know.
Payment
All payments are to be made by cash. We do not accept credit card payments.Thank you for understanding.
On arrival
Our friendly staff will show you to your treatment room where you will be provided with towells, these will be laid on the massage table for you to cover yourself with. The therapist will step out of the room to allow you to get undressed and comfortable. The therapist will re-enter once you are ready.
If oils are used in your treatment, you can undress to the level you are comfortable with -however please note we require all of our customers to wear at least their undergarments at all times during the treatment. Please do not make requests to not be appropriately covered.
During the session
Before session starts you will be asked to fill the consultation form. Please make the therapist aware of any injuries and allergies you have. Please also make the therapist aware of areas of your body you’d like them to focus on. Feel free to communicate with the therapist to add more or less pressure – if you do happen to feel any pain during the treatment please inform the therapist immediately. Note that deep tissue treatment can incur moderate pain, which will subside after 24-48 hours.
After the session
The therapist will leave the room to allow you to take 5 minutes to slowly get up and dressed. If you wish to tip the therapist, please feel free to do so. All the tips will go directly to the therapist and will not be shared with anyone else.
How regularly should I have a massage?
Ideally you should have a massage once or twice a week to maintain a relaxed mind and body.
Cancellation and amendments
In the unlikely event that your plans change and you wish to cancel your booking, here is our cancellation policy. When you make a booking, the therapist’s diary is blocked off for your time. This means no one else can make a booking during that period. Please respect the business and call / text us as soon as you know, as we have many customers on stand by. More than 1 no show will result in you paying in advance for your treatment to secure your appointment if you would like to amend your booking you can do so by replying by text message email or calling the centre.

An ideal gift for everyone, gift vouchers are available at Mediteraneum massage & fish spa reception. Gift vouchers are non-refundable and must be presented at time of treatment. Expiration: 1 month from date of purchase.

Advanced booking
We highly recommend booking your treatment in advance to ensure that your preferred time and service is available.
Cellular telephones
Noise pollution adds to our everyday stress. In order to ensure tranquility and relaxation we request you to kindly turn off your cell phone.
Cleanliness
Sterilization and sanitization of our equipment takes place after every service and treatment will ask all our customers to ensure a good level of personal hygiene.
I’m pregnant is it safe to have a massage
Unfortunately, if you are in your first 3 months of pregnancy we are unable to offer you a massage treatment. Pregnancy massage is a specialty and requires additional skills and qualifications, so please only select the “Pregnancy Massage” treatment when you book.
If you are more than 3 months pregnant we can offer you our massage service but suggest you have written approval from your doctor / GP.
Should I talk to the therapist during my treatment
It is best for you to enjoy your treatment with your eyes closed and relaxed, but of course, if you like to have a chat then why not!
If you experience pain or discomfort during the session, please immediately inform the therapist so that pressure / strokes can be adjusted to your level of comfort.
Our therapists are completely professional and will ignore it, however, please do not make any sexual requests – offenders will be reported to the local police for sexual harassment.
WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION
